|
Wierzę w wielkie odkrycie. Wierzę w człowieka, który dokona odkrycia Wierzę w przestrach człowieka, który dokona odkrycia. Wierzę w bladość jego twarzy, w mdłości, w zimny pot na wardze. Wierzę w spalenie notatek, w spalenie ich na popiół, w spalenie co do jednej. Wierzę w rozsypanie liczb, w rozsypanie ich bez żalu. I believe in great discoveries. I believe in the man who makes the great discoveries. I believe in the terror of the man who makes the discoveries. I believe in the pallor of his face, in the nausea, the cold sweat on the lip. I believe in the burning of the notes, in burning them to ashes, in burning each one of them. I believe in the dispersal of the figures, in their dispersal with no regret. I believe in the hurry of the man, in the precision of his movements, in his unconquerable will. I believe in the breaking-up of tables, in the pouring out of liquids, in the extinguishing of the flame. I maintain that the thing is possible and it won’t be too late, and done in the absence of a witness. None will find out, of this I’m quite sure, neither wife, nor wall, nor even a bird which might sing it. These words take-off outside regulations, they do not rely on any precedents. my faith is strong, blind, and with no foundation. |
